Industrial Partitions has recently completed a double skin steel partitioning installation for Molymer Moulding Services Ltd.
The client required a dedicated machine enclosure and clean room area within their existing industrial facility. The aim was to create a controlled, practical, and professionally finished workspace that could support their operational requirements while integrating with the existing building layout.
The project involved the design, supply, and installation of a complete double skin steel partitioning system, including:
- Solid steel panels
- Glazed sections
- Access doors
- Suspended ceilings
- Safety vinyl flooring
- Lighting
- Air conditioning and ventilation works
Final Design
Working from the agreed site layout, our team developed a double skin steel partitioning solution tailored around the proposed machine enclosure, changing room and main chamber areas.
The CAD drawing identified a new machine enclosure layout for Molymer Moulding Services Ltd, with dedicated areas including a changing room, main chamber, heating / cooling area and loading gate access. The drawing also detailed the ceiling, lighting and AC layout, alongside example elevations for solid, glazed and door modules.
The partitioning specification included solid panel steel partitioning at 2,438mm high, incorporating steel/glass/steel panels, hinged single doors with vision panels, hinged double doors with vision panels, mortice locks and goal post openings.
This combination of solid and glazed double skin steel partitioning helped create a clean, robust and professional finish while allowing visibility into key areas of the enclosure where required.
The wider works also included:
- New white suspended ceiling with wipeable square edge tiles
- Ceiling void insultation
- Welded sheet safety vinyl flooring with cap-and-cove skirting
- Recessed LED lighting
- Emergency lighting
- PIR motion sensors
- Air conditioning cassettes and a heat recovery ventilation system
Final Project
The completed installation has provided Molymer Moulding Services Ltd with a clean, enclosed and well-organised production space designed around their new machine enclosure requirements.
The finished double skin steel partitioning creates a clearly defined working environment within the larger industrial unit, separating the controlled workspace from the surrounding warehouse area while still maintaining practical access throughout the space.
The double skin steel construction gives the enclosure a durable and professional appearance, while the glazed sections allow visibility into the clean room areas. The integrated doors and access points support movement between the different zones, including the changing room, main chamber, and wider facility.
Internally, the suspended ceiling LED lighting, AC units, ventilation and safety vinyl flooring have helped create a bright, clean and functional environment suitable for day-to-day use.
From initial planning and CAD design through to installation and completion, the project was delivered to suit the client’s exact site requirements, resulting in a high-quality double skin steel partitioning system that is practical, durable and built around the needs of the space.
