For this project throwback, we’re revisiting the secure mesh partitioning works completed at Cromwell Tools’ new Bristol Hub facility.
The mesh partitioning formed one part of a much larger warehouse and office fit out delivered by our parent company, Advanced Commercial Interiors, with the Unirack shelving element supplied by our sister company, Unirack. Together, the project brought together storage, security, office space and warehouse operations within one coordinated facility.
For the Industrial Partitions side of the project, the brief was to create secure internal zones within the warehouse while keeping the space practical, visible and easy to use. Rather than fully enclosing areas with solid walls, mesh partitioning provided the security Cromwell Tools needed without blocking light, visibility or airflow through the building.
The installation included 3m high angle frame mesh partitioning to the front shutter areas, complete with sliding doors to support access and movement. Single doors and return sections were also installed to the rear fire exits, helping to define secure zones while maintaining safe routes through the warehouse.
A mesh ceiling was fitted over the secure areas, creating enclosed and protected spaces within the wider warehouse environment. This helped Cromwell Tools control access to key areas without compromising the open, operational feel of the facility.
The mesh partitioning was carefully planned around the wider fit out, including the mezzanine floor, shelving, pallet racking, lighting and access routes. This was important because the secure areas needed to work as part of the overall warehouse layout, rather than feeling like a separate afterthought.
The finished installation gave Cromwell Tools a robust and practical security solution for their Bristol Hub, with controlled-access areas that remained visible, ventilated and easy to operate. It also shows how Industrial Partitions can support larger commercial and industrial fit out projects where security, access and day-to-day usability all need to be considered together.
